How do I send a gift?
Just describe the occasion on the homepage — "It's Sarah's 30th, she loves hiking" — and Dough generates a personalized message, lets you pick a GIF, and creates a shareable link. No account required.
How does the recipient claim their money?
The recipient opens your link, watches the card, then taps "Make it Rain." After the animation, they enter their email to save the funds to a Dough Wallet — or they can cash out via our payout partner.
What is a Dough Wallet?
A Dough Wallet lets recipients save their gift money and use it to send their own gifts. Balances are tied to your email address and accumulate across multiple gifts. It's the easiest way to keep the dough flowing.
Can I cash out my Dough Wallet balance?
Yes — cash-out via bank transfer, PayPal, Venmo, and other options is coming soon. In the meantime, your balance is safely held and can be used to send gifts.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay via Stripe's secure checkout. We never store your payment details.
Can I see a preview before sharing?
Yes. After entering the gift amount and paying, you'll land on a preview page showing exactly what Page 1 (the card) and Page 2 (the make it rain moment) look like. You can share the link from there.
Can I edit the AI-generated message?
Absolutely. After the message is generated, you'll see a pencil icon to edit it directly, and a refresh icon to have the AI try again. The message is yours to tweak.
Is the gift link permanent?
Yes. The recipient can revisit their gift link anytime to replay the make-it-rain animation and check their claim status.
What happens if my payment fails?
If payment fails, no gift is created and you are not charged. Try a different payment method or contact us if the issue persists.
What is your refund policy?
All sales are final. Once the dough is sent, it's sent — we don't take gifts back. That would be weird. Like showing up to a birthday party, watching someone blow out the candles, and then asking for the card back. We're not doing that.
Is my data private?
Yes. We don't sell your data. Gift messages are processed by AI to generate personalized content but are not used for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What browsers and devices are supported?
Dough works on all modern browsers on mobile and desktop. Apple Pay is available in Safari on iPhone/Mac. Google Pay is available in Chrome.
